Vehicle Check
Before purchasing a vehicle, we strongly recommend obtaining a vehicle search to check for any taxes, embargoes or outstanding finance that could prevent the vehicle from being transferred.
For added value, the cost of the vehicle search can be deducted from the transfer price if you go ahead with the transfer through us.
Transferring Ownership - How It Works
Fill In the Form
Start by completing our web form with the relevant details about the buyer, the seller and the vehicle.
Upload the Documents
Upload the required documents, including proof of identity and proof of address for both parties, along with the vehicle documentation such as the Permiso de Circulación and Ficha Técnica.
Receive the Payment Link and Agreement
Once your form and documents have been submitted and checked, we will send you an email containing a payment link and a completed sales agreement ready for signature.
E-Sign the Agreement
Both the buyer and seller sign the sales agreement electronically, helping to keep the process clear, efficient and fully documented.
Pay the Fees and Taxes
The transfer taxes are usually between 4% and 8% of the vehicle’s value, depending on the applicable region and circumstances. There will also be an official DGT / Tráfico fee, together with our own service fee, which is typically €99 including IVA.
We Complete the Transfer
Once everything has been received, signed and paid, we take care of the rest and complete the transfer of ownership to the buyer. Confirmation is then provided once the transfer has been finalised.
What’s Included
Included in the transfer cost is a digital temporary registration document, a new Permiso de Circulación presented in one of our Car Registrations Spain document wallets, a free environmental sticker where the vehicle qualifies, and courier delivery of the new documentation to any address in Spain.
Insurance
As a licensed Spanish insurance agent, we can usually help you find highly competitive insurance if required. Simply let us know your number of years no claims at the bottom of the form and we can look into this for you.
Our policies can include breakdown cover, English documentation and full in-house support with your policy and any claims.
